Jareth "Bah"

(no subject)

I have acquired more empty bottles for the liquours, but still not enough.
I haven't been able to catch up on sleep lately, and feel exhausted. I got to spend some time with Sven today, which is a rarity. We get to talk every evening, but it's not the same as time you can just sit curled up together and forget about the rest of the world, if just for a few hours.
Having not found my gaelic grammar (still) I was skimming through some of the Old Norse lessons available online. There's options in that regard. The translation exercises amused me, though. This was one of the sample passages that needs to be translated in a lesson:

A man is called Eiríkr. He owns (some) helmets, (some) boats and a spear. He is a Viking. He kills people and takes boats. But Eiríkr is not a thief. Thieves don't kill.

Yeah. That sounds like something Sven would say. Judging by the jokes at the expense of Icelanders which were also part of it, I'm guessing it was written by a Norwegian.
