I had dinner with [info]heron61 and Becca tonight. John truly exceeded himself on dinner. I have no idea what the spicing in the morel mushroom pasta was, beyond fennel, but it was amazing.
Jon, please remember to tell me what the ingredients were.
Tonight I also learned why we don't call [info]erelin when we need a character reference.

Mild pork italian sausage (cooked separately, but in the same pan, and added at the end). I cooked it with olive oil, fennel, celery salt, and a bit of pepper, thyme and marjoram.

Then, cook chopped shallot, garlic, thinly sliced leek, and fennel with olive oil, salt, pepper and fresh thyme. Then, add in morel mushrooms (rough chopped) and some white wine (I used about 1/2 cup of Chardonnay). Cook until the wine is reduced, add in the cooked sausage, cover and cook for a while and serve over bow tie pasta.

Out of curiousity, do you or anyone you know want a starter for Friendship bread? I'm running an experiment where I turn it into sourdough by cutting out the sugar for a few months.
