Saturday was
feedle's birthday. I spent most of the day at his house, and met shiny new people, including this
bluknight that he'd kept mentioning.
Sunday afternoon, Jessi and I met up with
eaglecrash,
bluknight, and Dan at the gardens for tea.
Voltaire was in town last night, so Jessi and I hit that. The ban on importing and serving absinthe was recently lifted, so I got to try a few shots of that. I'm really not sure why everyone was complaining about it being bitter, or even wanted a sugar cube in it- it's not nearly as bitter as ku ding cha we've had at the gardens. I found the taste quite pleasant, though it certainly does make your mind wander in odd directions.
I wish the show had been longer. It was hard to believe that so many hours went so quickly- he only really seemed to have time to do a few audience favorites before it was somewhere in the vicinity of 1 am.
I can return to work today. I'm well fortified with pleasant experiences and shiny new people. I should, however, grab a few rock stars before attempting to speak to customers.
And
_justlikeyou, I am very sorry. Powell's was entirely sold out of ducks. It may take me a few more days to settle out the wager we had.
