The tour tonight was very interesting.
I had been entirely unaware that there have been buildings torn down in Portland with as many as five levels of basements connected to the tunnels.
The tours are a non-profit thing, run by Cascade Geographic Society. One of the guides has been interviewing people for a book on the subject. As well as victims, he's been able to interview a few of the slavers who operated in the tunnels.
Its repuation for haunting is entirely accurate.
